A google of hits for diet pills

weightloss No Comments »

When you search Google for the keyword “diet pills” you will get a huge number of hits. Often times, diet pill review sites will make you believe that diet pills are safe and necessary for you to lose weight. Most probably because they will benefit from the profit. Other sites however discourage you to buy diet pills and tell you that these pills are hazardous to your health.

In my opinion, you really can’t tell that you do need to take pills unless you consult a physician. As with any drug, diet pills have specific effects which can either be beneficial or hazardous to you, depending on the dosage, frequency of use, and your own metabolism. Doctors determine what weight loss method you need based on your problem. So dont just believe on what they say on the net. Get professional opinion first.

Dress Fitting Bliss

My friend JC’s wedding is on July 11. I was invited to be part of the wedding entourage, and I recently met up with his mom to have them take my measurements for the bridesmaid dress. The theme is pink and black. I already picked the design and I have a feeling I’m going to look gorgeous in it. ^_^

Thank God I got my college slim figure back in time for the dress fitting, so I need not resort to ephedra pills and the likes just to lose weight. Now all I have to do is maintain this figure until July 11 by exercising; perhaps I’ll enroll in Bikram Yoga. We’ll see.

Mom’s Silver Lining in Catching the Flu

My mom is fat. She used to be slim, but since she was assigned to just admin work in the military (minimizing her time for exercise), she gradually gained weight.

A couple of her friends recommended some fat burners, but she’s not really into that. She prefers a well-balanced diet and exercise. Then again, for old people like her, it’s really a seemingly impossible feat to go back to being slim. So her losing weight progress is quite slow.

Then something happened and in just 3 days, she lost 6 lbs. No, she didn’t take some weight loss pills, and no, she did not undergo liposuction. She caught the flu.

Of course, my mom wished it wasn’t the flu that helped her lose weight, and she definitely would not wish for someone to get sick just to shed off those unwanted fats. After all, flu can be very dangerous to one’s health. But then again, there goes the silver lining in her catching the flu – 6 lbs. off.

Cleansing the digestive system

Are you bloated? Often having an upset stomach? Or worse, passing awful smelling gas? You may need to clean up that dirt in your digestive system. Food rich in fibers (fruits, vegetables, cereals) are great for cleansing the digestive system especially the intestines.
One of the richest sources of insoluble fiber is the famous oatmeal. Studies prove that frequent regular intake of oatmeal can help clean the intestines by regulating the movement of bowels. Not only that, it also absorbs excess fat in the intestines and lower cholesterol levels.

I personally have tried having the oatmeal diet (that’s oatmeal breakfast for thirty days). It really gave me best results. I no longer feel the bloating or even the heavy feeling in the stomach. It also aided my weight loss program because after eating oats for breakfast, I don’t get hungry that much. I suggest you try it too. It’s healthy plus it’s a good and easier way to get rid of that surplus weight.

Got Milk?

To all you soon to be moms out there who are conscious about your figure, here’s something for you. Since all women gain weight during pregnancy, many worry that they might never have their old slim figure again. A friend of mine became so fat when she was pregnant, she doubled in weight in her sixth month. When the baby came out, her doctor suggested that she feed her baby the natural way - breastfeeding. In three weeks she lost so much weight and her body returned to its slim figure. The doctor explained that breastfeeding has effects similar to a weight loss pill. Breastfeeding also releases the hormone Oxytocin (the love hormone) which has a “feel good” effect to the mother. The same hormone said to be released when having sex. Amazing huh! So don’t worry about your figure! It will only take a while and you’ll get your sexy body again.

On Weight and Keeping in Touch - Huh?!

Bored while waiting for my brother to pick me up from work, I decided to sms my college friends to see how they’re doing. One of them mentioned that she’s been dying to arrange a batch reunion but was ashamed because she gained a lot of weight. I was like, “Duh?!” In the name of keeping touch with friends, I’ve never really given much thought about weight problems becoming a hindrance to it.

It’s quite funny and frustrating: ditching the opportunity to bond with old friends just because of weight insecurities. I mean, if they’re really your friends, they definitely wouldn’t mind and you ought to know that! They might even recommend a good diet pill for all you know. Oh well… to each his own.

Seek Ye First (Your Doctor)

While having breakfast with my family, my mom showcased a picture of my brother without his ‘excess luggage’ saying wistfully, “This is Raymond’s ideal image.” My brother, not embarrassed with his acquired fats chuckled and replied, “Maybe I should turn to drugs?”

It was a joke of course. But more and more people nowadays are becoming obese by the minute (especially this holiday season) that I do hope they do NOT turn to drugs. Not without consulting their physicians of course. Fat burners, weight loss pill and the likes can make you look good fast, but if not used properly, it may put your health and your future at stake. So before even attempting to lose weight, seek first the expert’s advice – your doctor.

One too many pill this Christmas

There are just one too many diet pills and fat burners like the “hardcore” Fenterdren being advertised nowadays. I’m not surprised though. This month IS the festive season. There will be reunions and loads of food to whet your “on a diet” stomachs. People who want to maintain their gorgeous figures or aim to have one quickly (just in time for their reunions) will definitely be availing of one of those pills.

Still, be careful when selecting one. Don’t just pop a pill based from your friends’ recommendation. Do thorough research first and consult with your doctor. After all, what works for one person may not work for another. And the diet pill you’re planning to take may have side effects that can be fatal to your current health condition. You want to look drop dead gorgeous, not “drop dead” literally, right?

Boxing for Weightloss: It’s cheap, it’s fun, and it works!

After the “disappointing” $100-million De La Hoya – Pacquiao fight last December 6, which made most las vegas hotels fully booked, I got curious about how the boxers lose so much weight in so little time. The thing is, I have friends who do exercise in the gym on a regular basis. They have been doing this for months now but I really don’t see any improvement in their physique. They do boast that they have never felt better.  Still, it’s just NOT obvious.

Curiosity piqued, I did some research on how boxers lose weight fast.  I found out that people in the gym usually do only slow cardio workouts which generally won’t shed that much fat. Boxers, on the other hand, do intensive anaerobic workouts regularly which make them have those lean muscles. Moreover, fast, heavy punching and sparring can easily burn calories much quicker than regular gym workouts. The lean body of course can only be achieved by getting rid of garbage food in your diet (Yep.  Start ditching your BicMacs).

Boxing has been the weight loss choice by some people because they get results fast. That and the fact that they don’t get bored or easily tired because of the enjoyment and challenge they feel when sparring with a partner.  It’s cheap, it’s fun, and it works!

Rapid Weight Loss is Unsafe

Last December 6, the most anticipated boxing fight of the year took place in MGM Grand in Vegas: The De La Hoya - Pacquiao hundred-million dollar welterweight bout.  According to the news, people were so excited about this event that las vegas hotel reservations were already full the week before.Boxing aficionados were stunned to see De La Hoya turn into Pacquiao’s punching bag!  It ended at round nine because De La Hoya did not have enough strength to fight anymore.  The match was very disappointing considering the high expectations people had in De La Hoya.  They were expecting at least a draw or 12th round.  In fact, there were many speculations about an under the table deal between the two parties.

Health experts say that De La Hoya’s poor performance in the fight was due to his rapid weight loss. He needed to lose weight in order to meet the 147 pound weigh-in requirement. De La Hoya (155 lbs present) needed to shed fats and cut on diet in order to get to this weight. This however was no problem for Pacquiao for he just needed to gain weight from 135 pound.

What happened to De La Hoya during the match is one of the most obvious examples on the effects of rapid weight loss. It can be really unsafe.   Consequently, I strongly suggest that you stick to the old gym routines and balanced diet.  It’s ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry.
