Time to get an insurance

mumblings No Comments »

Recently, we had our old RV pimped up with the latest RV technology in the market today. Well not exactly the latest but still it looked much better than before. We spent a really huge amount of money just to revamp our old RV.

Our family RV is our most loved car. It was handed over to us by my late Granpa. Since we were kids, it has been a tradition to take a road trip with the family using this RV.

Last night, I went in the RV to get a wrench. I could not find it so I asked my Dad. He told me that it was in a toolbox located near the RV cabinet. However was not able to find it. This alarmed us. It turned out that my Dad left the RV open in our garage and the toolbox was stolen.

With this we thought of getting rv insurance for our sake. Theft is not very common in our area. Although this was a really rare situation, we decided that insurance is the only way to protect a very precious asset of our family.

Frontwomen

health & beauty, health & society, mumblings No Comments »

Out of curiosity I started googling random frontwomen for bands and the like. Gwen Stefani is so beautiful. Brody Dalle has always been my girl crush, and Hayley Williams’ hair never fails to intrigue and intimidate me.

I’ve never really seen chubby or horizontally challenged women to be frontwomen. Most of the time they have these smoking hot bodies that all the girls would envy and all the boys would drool over. I wonder if these women take weight loss pills to take away all the unwanted fat.

If I had Brody Dalle’s body I would go out of the house wearing a bra and short shorts. Then again I don’t really think I’d be able to pull off looking like that.

Oh god, my insecurities are getting the best of me again.

To be honest, I’m really happy about my body, I just want to get rid of certain stretch marks and some of my belly fat. I’d be good after that!

On Graduating and Job Hunts

My sister’s graduating soon and she’s starting to worry about what kind of jobs she would take and the like.

For the longest time, our older brother has been the biggest influence in her life. If it weren’t for him she wouldn’t be playing nursery rhymes on the computer at age 4 over legos and barbie dolls, and she wouldn’t be learning HTML all by herself at the age 9.

She told me she wants to look for Network Administrator Jobs when she graduates, just like my brother’s chosen field of specialization.

She really can go places, once she sets her mind into it, I tell you.

I’m not really very knowledgable in this field, so if you have any recommendations on what books she should start reading up on and the like, please feel free to post comments in this post. I kind of want to help her after she graduates by buying her books, since books on her chosen field are quite expensive, really.

Quality vs Quantity

My brother is currently looking for lapel pins in department stores but hasn’t really found anything to his taste, so I was thinking of getting his lapel pins custom made.

What do you think? I mean, most of the pins on department stores are so tacky and cheap looking (well, mostly because they actually are, but you get the point).

In my opinion, brands aren’t always the key to looking like you actually paid for something worth more than the usual price. Sometimes it’s actually just the brand that you pay for, and not the quality of the material you just bought. I’d choose quality over quantity any day. I get most of my good clothes from thrift stores and second hand shops! Would you? And why? Share it with all of us! I’m sure there are a lot of people willing to discuss this very famous / common topic.

Quality over quantity. Start talking! Haha!

Time capsule cell phone

I was cleaning up my drawer earlier and I was surprised to see my old MotoRazr. It is a very sleek motorolla phone I had when I was still in college. All this time it was just stuck in the corner of the drawer. I thought I lost this phone already.
The first thing I thought was… If this phone still works, then I will be able to read my old messages back in college! How fun could that be? It was kind of like a time capsule buried in the drawer for five years.
However, because of the very long time that it was unused. The battery did not charge anymore. Unfortunately, the phone just wont turn on even if the charger was on because the battery was busted.
So now I am looking for into different motorola batteries and hope that I would come across a compatible one for my phone. They just don’t make these kinds of battery these days anymore.
Oh I am so eager to find a battery!

New laptop

So my brother gave me a new laptop because my old laptop started randomly overheating, and I can say that I’m in love with it. I named it “Harry Potter”. Well, my brother did, but yeah. I found it cute so I decided to stick with it!

Anyway, I’ve been worried about wearing the built in speakers out so I decided to start looking for mp3 speakers to buy. I wore my old one out so much that the beautiful speakers ended up being too soft in the end, even when the volume was set to maximum I still couldn’t hear anything.

I guess that got me paranoid about what would happen to my new laptop’s speakers so I never set the volume to maximum.

Am I crazy? I mean, every earphone I use has a life span of three months, no matter how expensive or how cheap it is, so I guess I have the same fate with speakers. I guess I just love music that much.

Any recommendations for me, my dear readers?

Looking for Sales

I am currently looking for good deals online. I tried eBay, Amazon and Multiply, but I still can’t find the right goggles sale. My friends and I will be swimming soon and I need new goggles ’cause I can’t open my eyes in sea water. IT HURTS, I SWEAR!

I look forward to lounging around in the white beach and getting a nice tan. I’ve never played beach volleyball so my friends promised to buy a beach ball and let me play. I’m afraid volleyball isn’t really my sport, but I’m willing to try anything! I haven’t had a decent vacation in weeks, and I am totally looking forward to it.

I kind of want to make sandcastles, too, but I’m afraid I’m too old for that. It has never really been my forte, I’d just play with the sand and bury my friend leaving only his face and hands out to the sun for funsies.

What other beach activities do you guys usually do? Don’t forget to wear sunscreen!

Storm Preparation

Since storms are beginning to get pretty common nowadays, I guess it is appropriate that I start blogging about it for people to be aware! (Not that I have that many readers, but hey, at least I’m trying!)

Out of all the storm shelters available, I believe I’d recommend you to get the fiberglass storm shelter if you’re really considering getting one.

I keep repeating that old saying, but it’s true! Prevention is better than cure. Don’t wait for the disaster to strike before you regret not doing anything to prepare for it.

Tornadoes are nature’s violent storms, and believe me, I’ve seen the worst storms out here in my country. If tornadoes are worse than these, you’d really want to be prepared.

Think about your family and the investment that getting a storm shelter will give you. Your family will be safe, and your house value will increase with this. It’s a win win, in my opinion!

Bicycle, bicycle!

Back in my college days, my roommate rented a bike on our last year because she felt that she needed exercise and the campus is just perfect for biking.

The only problem with this scenario is that our apartment doesn’t exactly have a nice and safe parking spot for bicycles.

I recommended her to buy thule bike racks because our family has been using racks from this brand for years and it’s still functioning well up to this date.

The only sad part about this story is that I don’t know how to ride a bike, and I still don’t. So if there’s anyone willing to teach me bike lessons starting tomorrow PLEASE DO SO because I’m starting to get too old to learn how to ride a bike and I don’t want to be my friends’ laughingstock anymore! Hahaha!

Share us your bike riding stories! Have you ever gotten into an accident? My friends seem to have a magnetic aura for those. I’ve seen them evade accidents all the time!

Pimp My Room!

I recently started watching the series, Awkward. I guess I find it funny that it was nothing like my high school experience, at all. I mean, sure I had a hard time with my love life and determining how I really feel for a guy, but I don’t recall any bullies and people driving cars at that age.

It’s probably because I lived in another country. Hahaha!

I couldn’t help but envy Jenna when her mom gave her a room makeover though. I would literally kill (okay, not really!) people just to get a room makeover. I’d do anything to get my floor carpeted and get a raleigh carpet cleaning once in a while.

I don’t really see the purpose on getting a ceiling floor though, aside from being able to see how you look like everytime you wake up. Haha! Do you have any idea on what the purpose of ceiling mirrors are, because I really haven’t the slightest clue!

Take photos of your rooms and share it with me! Go on!
