Series

I, lately, have been watching series like Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, White Collar and The Office.

So far I like them all and I’m looking forward to seeing more of them. Game of Thrones is amazing, I like it way better than Camelot. It’s brilliant, the script, the cast, and everything. I’d discuss it in detail, but I don’t want to spoil you. Just watch it. I’ll give it five stars.

Doctor Who is also amazing in its own way. The way they incorporate old events in history with the TARDIS and time travelling, it’s brilliant.

Whit Collar reminded me of debt collection companies for some reason. One of their main characters in the latest season, Sarah, is an insurance woman, and she reminded me of the debt collection men who came into my neighbor’s house. They’re friendly, and very considerate, for the most part. Haha!

Do you have any other series to recommend?

Height Matters

When I was young, I always used to be sitting in front of the class because the little kids get to stay in front so bigger kids won’t block their view. This worried my mom a little. All of my other siblings had average height, and I was exceptionally puny.

She reserved a wall in our house to measure my height, she would make me lean onto it every two months or so, and note down how much I grew and what date it was. It acted pretty much like a stadiometer.

It was cute, I randomly passed by that wall when I was 16, and seeing how much I’ve grown in all those years gave me goosebumps. I actually didn’t think I’d be this tall, I got used to being in front of the class and looking up when I talk to someone. Haha!

My mom actually bought me growth enhancing medicine, and it seems like they worked, ’cause now I’m one of the tallest people in my university block. Thank god for awesome moms, right!?

So if you’re small like me, there’s still hope!

Hard Work

My favourite cousin is currently taking the medical licensure exams for doctors, and I want to get her something because I’ve seen the way she studies, and it makes me happy that she knows what she wants and she’s doing her best to achieve it.

This is her third take, and we all have really high hopes for her. She’s really determined to pass it this time around, and everyone at home has been doing his/her share in helping her study. My mom would cook brain food for her, my dad would take her to coffee shops if there were too many people at home and she couldn’t concentrate or if our internet connection was acting up, and I’m going to get her Marcus scrubs as a congratulatory present.

I’m excited! I hope she passes, she deserves it, really. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone study that hard! It’s almost inhumane!

I wanted to get her a trip to a beach with white sand, but I don’t have the money for it yet, so I’ll buy her these scrubs and take her out to the beach soon enough.

Please pray for my cousin, she worked hard for this!

Google Plus

Have you seen the new Google Plus? It’s amazing, I must say. As a lot of people have pointed out, it’s pretty much the same as Facebook, but it has a lot of quirky features on its own.

Take Circles, for example. Everyone isn’t just your friend, they fall under some category in which you choose for yourself, and you get to choose to share your information with a specific set of people and not everyone who has added you to their list.

One of the things I like most about Google Plus is the hangouts. It’s similar to conference call hosting, but it includes videos, much like Skype, and it updates your page and your friends’ streams if you just came from a hangout.

I think this social networking website can go places, unlike what happened to Google Buzz. That was a misfortunate thing to happen. Hopefully this wouldn’t suffer the same fate!

Impulsiveness

My friend John started taking up bartending lessons. He’s always had a knack for mixing alcoholic drinks, and when he saw a bartender performing random tricks while throwing bottles around, he was pretty amazed and wanted to take the class up immediately.

He’s pretty impulsive, and that’s what makes him one of a kind.

I kind of want to get him a “Good Luck on Your Class, hope you stick with it till the end” kind of gift, haha. Do you guys have any Bar Accessory Gift Ideas? I might just get him an instant wine chiller, but I think he’s not really a big fan of wine.

I kind of want to take the lessons myself, but knowing me, I know I’d get bored of it after the first three meetings. I’m still quite at a loss with regards to what I want to do with my life.

MAYBE I’M SUFFERING A MID LIFE CRISIS!

Uh oh. Anyone have any advice for me?

Ode to my university

Our university claims to be one of the best in the country, and I wouldn’t deny it. Ever since the dawn of its existence, its students have always been top notchers in board exams and the like.

Even though most of the time the university lacks the budget to buy lucrative or even decent equipment to use like computers for computer science students or microscopes for biology and chemistry students, they still manage to produce excellent students, and I am proud to be one of the university’s handicraft.
I do wish to help the university through its struggle though. When I was in my college years I found it hard to read the slides from the hundred-year-old projector that our class was using. (I’m exaggerating, of course, but it really was unbelievably old!) I ordered one of those epson projectors because I intend to donate it to the school.

Hopefully students will find it easier to understand the lessons because the images that the projector will produce will be much clearer than the ones during my college years. :)

Assassins and Snipers!

When I was young my dad used to watch action films with me. I have been so fascinated with assassin movies because of one simple thing– rifle scopes.

I don’t know, maybe the fact of being able to shoot more accurately with a single lens excited me. It made me realize how life could really end abruptly without you knowing. Just one bullet to the head or heart and you are history.

Ever since then it has been our tradition to watch action movies whenever we have free time. I introduced my dad to the series, “Nikita”, and I believe he’s in love with Maggie Q. Hahaha!

He gave me a birthday present once. A mini telescope that looked like a real rifle scope. I have it displayed in my room and I look out the window through the scope every once in a while to check if I have spies outside our house. Haha!

Realistic Results

I watched Nikita earlier and I couldn’t help but notice Maggie Q’s amazing abs. I started searching for muscle enhancing, post-workout drinks to help me improve my flabby body structure, and I found anabolic halo.

I have never been very confident about my body structure. One of the reasons as to why I have low body self esteem (If such a term even exists) is because I have mild scoliosis. My hip is slightly tilted so I experience back pains from time to time.

I believe that if I reduce my baby fat and turn them into muscle my scoliosis wouldn’t be as obvious and I be more confident about my body, so I decided on this.

I have been worrying about side effects linked to drinks like this, and I saw a lot of positive reviews about this specific products and that it doesn’t have any serious side effects that come with it.

I also admire how this product doesn’t promise something that’s too good to be true. I tend to worry when that happens. They assure results that are realistic.

The Corporate World

There has always been something about “ties-necktie” on men that intimidates me.

I guess it’s a symbol of power and the corporate world. I have always pictured the corporate world to be some other world that’s entirely different from the one I have always lived in, when I was in college.

Maybe it’s because of the fact that I have been used to laid back environments, where everyone doesn’t really care much about anything else but themselves and having a good time.

I used to think I would never be able to handle all the stress and pressure that the corporate world brings, wearing neckties and suits and high heels, having to deal with various clients and doing everything you can to please them.

Thank god I have actually been finally able to cope with everything, and I can say that I’m not doing so bad myself.

I shall try this soon enough

A friend of mine has recently recommended me to use zenmed, and I can say, I am quite intrigued.

This friend of mine has always been someone with a lot of acne problems during her early teenage years, and she has been teased a lot regarding her acnes. I felt bad for her and recommended a lot of the products that I used, but I guess the effects of the products depend on a person’s skin type and some other factors.

I saw her again after eight years and I can say, her face is really smooth– very similar to that of a hollywood star’s! I wish I was exaggerating.

Her flawless skin puts mine to shame, and I need to try this product, so I will be buying one quite soon, and I shall post a review soon enough.

Have you tried this product? Is it really any good?
