This is the famous adage, I always share to people I meet, “When money is lost, nothing is lost. When health is lost something is lost. But when character is lost, everything is lost.”
I presume nobody among us will contest the portion of, “When character is lost, everything is lost.” Every person should strive to possess an unquestionable integrity, since no amount of money can bring forth lost integrity and reputation.
People nowadays are like a fool who works so hard to earn much money. Others are not contented to have only one job but have to move fast to catch the next train to be on time for the next job. Unknown to them, they are the cause of their own stress. Lately, recent findings pointed to stress as the culprit of major diseases like diabetes, hypertension, and heart attack.
If people will continue this life style, they are actually just saving to pay their future hospital bills. Even if there are health insurance that will cover your hospitalization, keep in mind that the essence of living happily with your family will not be paid by your lifetime savings and insurance.
It is high time for everyone to simplify our life by eating healthy foods and including moderate exercise in our routine. Learn to relax with your family by going to the park, taking a leisure walk or hike, taking pictures, or even going fishing while listening to your favorite music.
When money is lost, you can replace it. Perhaps even double it. When health - your wealth - is lost, you will never be the same again.
