Hospital theif

NEVER LEAVE YOUR THINGS UNATTENDED – this was a sign I saw yesterday at the hospital when I visited a friend of mine. She was confined because of tremendous pain in her back and abdomen part. She was diagnosed with kidney stones and is now being treated for it. Anyhow, she told me that she lost her purse while inside her room.

We already informed the hospital admins about it and they suspected a thief did that. I was really upset the way they said that because they did not seem to care that much about their patient’s personal belongings. The fact that it happened shows that their security was crap! They even bragged about their wireless security system but it was no good in identifying the thief. Good thing the purse only had little cash and some not so important documents. I hope this experience will make others be aware of security risks even in hospitals.

On Being Fat

Sometimes being fat is not fat people’s fault. Most of us grew up making fun of fatness. We are actually repulsed by it because for most people it is a sign of laziness of eating too much and not having self control. While these factors are applicable to some “fat” people there are those who no matter how much they exercise and eat healthily they still appear fat and unhealthy.

People like my aunt who apparently has a thyroid problem is one of them. Right now, her doctor suggested that she takes this special diet pill that would control her thyroid problem, thus maintaining the proper weight that she’s supposed to have. So right now combined with proper diet and exercise, I hope things work out for the best for my aunt.

Hiatus to a Good Health

All work and no play, makes one a dull boy.

True.

People need hiatus.

Too much work and not enough time out to pamper ourselves can result in mental health problems, memory failure and even heart attack. At least 10 minutes of relaxation could help keep our stress levels down, which in turn can improve our health as well.

Different people have various ways of relaxing. Some soak in a bubble bath, go for a drive or to the beach, others are content with just reading a book or going for a walk, while some needs to avail of extended stay hotels. It pretty much doesn’t matter what you do and when you do it. Relaxation, unlike yoga or meditation is not something that needs to be done at a particular time of the day. The key here is, “whatever works for you”.

Chill out. Relax.

After all, you work to live, not live to work. 0;)
