NY High-class Hospitals

When was the last time you were confined in a hospital? How many times have you tried the almost inedible meals served by their cooks? Oh, and the nurses, the grumpy nurses, I guess you have already encountered at least two during your stay. Aren’t hospitals supposed to be our place of recovery when we’re ill? How come patients experience hell in the hospitals? Sometimes I wonder if there’s a conspiracy going on between the health providers and the government just to discourage taxpayers from going to hospitals.

It took too long before hospitals realized the importance of good service on their patients. Now, some hospitals have undergone complete renovation. As you have heard from ads, lots of hospitals now have been converted to “luxury hotels”. What I mean is, these hospitals give great service to their clients, give them gourmet food, and accommodate them to comfortable suites similar to luxury hotel rooms! The new hospitals even have credit card machines inside!

To think that it’s only now the New York have been doing the overhaul on the hospitals despite its blooming progress is pretty sad. A friend of mine was not surprise to hear this news. He said all the hospitals in Europe have always been “patient friendly”. I just hope these luxury hospitals are for the public and not just for VIP patients.

Bye Circuit City!

I have always been a big fan of Circuit City. It’s an online website which sells electronic goods. I used to regularly buy electronic items from this online shop but I just found out that it had already closed its doors to consumers. They’re advertising a better site which is a replacement for circuit city (Buy.com) but I’m not so sure if it’s as good. It’s because the alternative site sells a wide variety of goods unlike Circuit City which sells only tech products. Oh well, for as long as the site guarantees customer satisfaction, I guess it will be okay. I just hope it’s not an Ebay copycat! Good Luck to Buy.com

pouring booze!

Yesterday’s pool party was the best one yet! The (supposedly) hot summer day party became a wild rainy day event! Rain poured yesterday afternoon during our pool party. As expected, everyone got so excited. They turned up the volume (max) and danced like crazy. I, in the other hand, set up the patio furniture covers to protect my precious outdoor antiques but joined the party after.

The rain continued till around 6 pm. After that, we had barbecue for dinner. We enjoyed the grilled burgers we made ourselves; and the steaks of course. Beer poured like rain too! (A friend of mine bought a beer barrel with pump). To sum it all up, it was a great night. Today I called the office telling them that I can’t report for work because I’m sick. Hehe. I still have the hangover till now. Oh, and my friends are still in the guestroom… sleeping.

Exploding light bulbs

Last night I had a chance to relax in my tub. It’s not so often that I use it anymore because I have been busy with work. When I got home I had dinner and set up the bathroom. I lighted several aromatherapy candles and dipped myself in the hot water. It felt great for a few hours until I heard a loud pop! The compact fluorescent light exploded and fell to the floor, scattering glass. So much for the relaxing night! I think the steam short-circuited the internals of the bulb causing it to explode. I admit, it was my bad. The CF light was not supposed to be used in the steamy room, as I have just read in the manual. Anyhow, I had a few hours already so I guess it was not much of a hassle. I’ll be getting Sylvania light bulbs later to replace the old CF bulb. Hope you get something from this experience of mine.

On abandoning pets

health & society No Comments »

I got a call yesterday from my younger sister telling me that my niece was bitten by a stray dog. Kids usually are very fond of dogs. They see a dog in the street and hurry up to touch it. Sometimes they get bitten, which is what happened. Fortunately, the bite was not too deep but still she was given an anti-rabies shot.

We decide to own pets because of the happiness and companionship they give us. For this they deserve to be treated well. They need shelter and pet supplies. You cannot blame the dog for that obviously. It was abandoned and was probably hungry or sick that time. It is the owner’s responsibility when something like this happens. Abandoning pets is risky not only for your pets but also for other people. So I urge pet owners to be more responsible with their pets.

Potatoes! :)

Hey guys, it’s time for me and my randomness.

Let’s talk about potatoes. One of the world’s greatest wonders. Just the thought of it makes me want to drool. I love hash browns, you know?

You can also get a heckload of benefits from eating them! Did you know that eating a medium sized potato is equal to eating 110 calories? It also has nearly half of the daily value for vitamin c.

I thank healthypotato.com for the information.

I sometimes draw potatoes wearing a tuxedo ’cause they’re just awesome and I’m so random.

Work Out Now!

I was working out this morning and I suddenly remembered about a certain appetite suppressant. Don’t ask me why. I guess people who work out also use these? I was recommended by a friend of mine to use it, I just haven’t tried it yet. What do you guys think?

Work out more often guys! It helps you tone out your muscles and increase your strength, little by little! Don’t overdo it, though. Too much of anything is bad for your health.

Getting an auto insurance is a healthy thing to do, I tell you. In case of accidents, you’ll have a lot less to worry about regarding finances. This is surely a great investment since stress makes you vulnerable to various diseases and you don’t want that. I am adding this to my long list of things that I recommend.

Don’t forget to ask your friends or business contacts which company is reliable and credible! You’ll never regret doing this, I promise.

Water Baby

I remember this one day when I thought about taking phenphedrine to lose weight when I was 15. I have never been obese but my excess baby fat was bothering me a lot. But then I got introduced to swimming.

In a span of 3 months swimming I was slim. I had always been a water baby. I’ve done a lot of water sports like dragon boat, wakeboarding, surfing, and scuba diving. This is how I managed to stay fit and healthy for a long time and now I’ve been doing yoga which improved my over all mental, physical and spiritual healing. I will be forever thankful for that day that my toes touched the water on that pool. It changed my whole life.

Soaking Up on A Sunny Day!

My brother and I were in search of the best auto insurance company in the internet for his car. We have been doing a lot of browsing when I told him that I wanted to go and swim as I have been slacking off my laps lately. Having recently been diagnosed with high blood, he immediately agreed.

We made a lot of pool touring ’til finally we picked out our pool for the day. It was a long infinity pool near our village that was on our taste buds for that sunny afternoon. I told him that today there is no stopping my 1 kilometer swim. After swimming for 300 meters my brother gave up and finally started to float around while I did my laps. I told him that his obesity finally caught up with him.

After one hour of getting soaked, I finished my laps. It was a good sunny day. I’ve decided to full on head on my cross training for the next couple of days.
