Early Morning Jog

Most people focus on diet to keep their body slim but often overlook proper regular exercise. They often forget that exercise is essential for healthy living. Early this morning, I brought my mp3 player and went jogging in the park to relieve the stress from a whole week of office work. When I got there I did some stretching and a few laps of walking. To my surprise, I saw my friends, Mark and Leah, also doing exercise. I was so glad to see them since we haven’t seen each other in a while.

All three of us were in fashionable sporty outfits with matching music players. Mark was bragging about his new mp3 player with expandable micro sd memory. It was so cool! You could easily add more storage space for music just by inserting a microSD card. Anyway, after a several laps, we sat on the grass and enjoyed a small breakfast picnic together. Jogging has never been this much fun!

Patience Can Certainly Pay Off

I’ve had acne problems since I hit puberty stage. Not that I’m vain, but, I got really conscious with that especially since having clear skin after all, adds a boost in once confidence.

Since then, I’ve tried several acne treatments from generic, commercial soaps to real derma facial treatments (yeah, the pricking and squishing type). It was only this year that I discovered THE facial wash that finally matched my skin type (the Nivea soap free wash) and the dermatologist that helped clear my acne without having to undergo the usual painful pricking and peeling (well, there is a bit of molting season, but not the horrible your-entire-face-is-peeling type).

I have to admit that my search for the right acne treatment took more than 10 years (and cost me a lot of dough). Nevertheless, the wait and the pain I went through were worth it. I get to appreciate my skin more and proved once again that if you want something, with all your heart, and worked hard for it, you can get it. Patience my dear. 0;)

One Week Yogis

My friend Mark and I decided to try Bikram Yoga last October 24 by enrolling in a one week unlimited trial session. Just so you know, Bikram Yoga, as defined by ABC-of-Yoga.com, “is a series of 26 poses performed in a room with temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Each Yoga Pose is usually performed twice and held for a certain period of time.”

The short week of doing the 26 poses in the heated studio really did us a lot of good – improved breathing, increased flexibility, corrected posture, eliminated body toxins, lessened back pains, not to mention it gave us a healthy, glowing skin afterwards. If it weren’t for the pricey monthly fee, we would have continued on a one-month session at the studio.

In the end, we decided to take pictures of the 26 poses (thanks to Mark’s Nikon D90) borrow the Bikram Yoga session CDs and book, and just practice at home until we can afford the yoga fee. With its great benefits, we’re definitely going back to being yogis. ^_^

On Anions and Magnetic Bracelets

While visiting my friend Marcoe last October 25, we got to talking about the emerging anion fad. Products containing anion seem to just be popping and increasing with the promise of boosting your strength, and helping you with ailments like headache, muscle pain, and arthritis.

During the conversation TJ, her husband, joined in and proudly showed his magnetic therapy bracelet. I was stunned. I wasn’t aware that they were producing magnetic bracelets as well! TJ relayed that it indeed boosted his strength. He said he felt much better and energized whenever he wears that bracelet.

Hmmmm… from doubtful, I’m almost convinced about the effects of anion. Just a little more research on my part and I might even buy a magnetic ring.
